The Boat
Ocean
Rover is one of the top 10
liveaboards in the
whole world, and as
such is well known around the world,
setting the standard for service and safety
among all liveaboards in Thailand. Starting
operations in December 2000, Ocean Rover has now
had several very successful seasons running
trips in Thailand, Myanmar and Sulawesi - please
note that people often book Ocean Rover more
than a year ahead, so advance booking is
essential. On board you are looked after by no
less than 12 crew, who aim to ensure you have
the liveaboard trip of a lifetime.
Ocean
Rover cruises with a maximum of sixteen guests
in eight cabins which are located on the main
and upper decks. Six cabins are identical (4
upper deck and 2 main deck), having large double
beds with single upper bunks and large panoramic
windows - these are ideal for couples and can
also be used as twin cabins. The two forward
cabins on the main deck feature wide upper and
lower single bunks and have portholes. All
cabins have private bathrooms, individually
controlled air-conditioning and plenty of
storage space
The
Ocean Rover is built for photographers - the
dive deck has several camera tables and rinse
tanks plus a special camera maintenance room.
Photographers always have safe places to put
down their expensive cameras just before and
after the dive, and the crew all know how to
handle your expensive gear! There are 2 fast
RIB's (dinghies, chase boats) for picking up and
dropping off, and these are stored on the huge
"whale deck" when the boat is underway. The dive
deck is huge, making for easy dive preparation.
And as you'd expect, Nitrox is available on
board.
The
spacious salon combines a comfortable dining and
seating area, along with a well equipped
entertainment center and a camera charging area
with both 220/110 volts charging point. The salon
has is light and airy and has a relaxed
atmosphere. You will also find a
refreshment/coffee corner with an espresso
machine, and an extensive library of diving and
marine life identification books. The upper deck
has a huge sun deck, partly shaded withrelaxation space and a refreshment area.
