Dive Equipment Considerations for your Course

Here we are blessed with all year round water temperatures between 26° and 32° Celsius.  But please remember with the selection of your exposure suit that sometimes the pool and open water exercises can last over two hours. A 3mm full wetsuit is the preferred suit of most Instructors here. In principle you can get all your equipment from Dive Community where all your purchases will be at special Instructor Course Prices, but normally people simply complete their diving equipment set from our Dive Shop as we expect you to already own and bring along your own complete dive instructor  equipment (see Instructor manual).  You should consider the following:  In Thailand (like nearly everywhere in Asia) tanks with International valves are commonly used.  Therefore please bring along an adapter if you have a DIN Regulator. 

We normally advise you to not bring / use a technical wing BC, since these will increase the difficulty of some surface exercises during the IDC and IE. A Regulator with Octopus (Alternative Air source) is an essential; you will also need a Dive Computer or waterproof watch with second hand or stopwatch function during the IDC, in the IE and also later as a Dive Instructor. You will need a pocket calculator in the IDC and in the IE., bring along your full dive equipment along with the things that you consider important for you to have some great dives during and after your course in the Andaman Sea. A good bit of advice is to forget the Dry Suits and thick wetsuits / semidry suits.
